PART IX - OFFENCES

Section 147. Incest.

(1) Any person who has sexual intercourse with any person and he knows or has reason to believe that he is forbidden to marry that person under Hukum Syara’

on ground of consanguinity, affinity or marriage commits incest.

(2) Any male Muslim who commits incest shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

(3) Any female Muslim being the other party in the commission of the offence of incest shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
