Section 30. Punishment for qatlul-al-'amd.

(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), whoever commits qatlul-al-'amd shall be punished with death as qisas punishment

(2) The punishment of death in subsection (1) shall not be imposed where-

(a)

the offence is not proved by the evidence required under Part IX: or

(b)

notwithstanding such proof the
