PART IV - GENERAL PROCEDURE



Section 23. Reciprocal arrangements with other States.

(1) If under provisions of any law in force in the States listed in the First Schedule, a Kadi has issued a summon requiring any person to appear before any Syariah Court in such States and that person is believed to be in the State of Melaka, a Kadi may endorse the summon with his name and such summon may be served on such person as if it were issued by the Court under the provisions of this Enactment.

(2) Where a Kadi under the provision of any written law in force in any State listed in the First Schedule issued a summon requiring any person to appear before any Syariah Court in such state and such person is believed to be in the State of Melaka any Register or Kadi in the State of Melaka may endorse the summon with his name and such summon may then be served on such person as if it was a summon issued by the Court under the provisions of this Enactment.


(3) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order published in the
Gazette, add, delete or amend the First Schedule.
