Section 128. Resumption of cohabitation during the period of ‘iddah raj’i.
(1) Any man who, having lawfully divorced his wife, resumes cohabitation with her during the period of ‘iddah raj’i without having pronounced a lawful ruju’ commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding three months or with both.
(2) If his wife, at the time of resumption of cohabitation, was not aware of the occurrence of the divorce, the man commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding three months or with both.
(3) Any woman who abets an offence under subsection (1) commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding three months or with both.
