PART XXXIII – GENERAL PROVISIONS
Section 256. Evidence.
(1) In any proceeding under this Enactment, the Court shall observe all provisions of Islamic Law relating to number, status or quality of witness or evidence required to prove any fact.
(2) Subject to subsection (1) the Court shall have regard to the law of evidence for the time being in force in the time being in force in the State, and shall be guided by the principles thereof, but shall not be obliged to apply the same stricly.
