PART V - OFFENCES RELATING TO PUBLIC JUSTICE AND SECURITY
Section 37. Giving false evidence, information or statement.
(1) Any person who gives false evidence or fabricates evidence for the purpose or being used in any state of a judicial proceedings in the Court shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
(2) Any person who knowing or having reason to believe that an offence has been committed under this Enactment or under any other written law relating to the religion of Islam, gives any information relating to such offence which he knows or believes to be false shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
