PART VII - OFFENCES

Section 109. Offences of amil.

(1) Any amil, who after receiving or collecting zakat or fitrah, fails to hand over the collection or the accounts of the collection as required under this Enactment or the rules made thereunder, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

(2) The court which tries the case under this section shall, if the collection or the accounts of the collection or both have not hccn handed over, order that it he handed over to the Prcsident.
