PART VIII - GENERAL

Section 144. Protection of members of Majlis and servants.

(1) No person who is a member of the Majlis or its servant shall be liable for any loss arising from or because of any investment made in accordance with the provisions of this Enactment or any failure to collect or get any monies or property of the Majlis, unless such loss has been caused by his wilful negligence or fraud.

(2) Any member of the Majlis Jamaah Ulama, servants. agents or person acting under the authority of the Majlis shall be indemnified by the Majlis against any action or proceeding for or in respect of any act, matter, or thing done bona fide or omitted to be done by him in the exercise or purported exercise of any of the rights or powers of the Majlis or of the members thereof.
