ENACTMENT NO. 10 OF 1993 SYARIAH CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ENACTMENT 1993
PART VII CHAPTER XXVII - GENERAL
Section 216. Mode of payment of compensation.
Subject to the provisions of this Enactment, if any person is under this Enactment, for any reason whatsoever, ordered to pay compesation, the Court making such order mat in its discretion take any action in accordance with Islamic Law including the following :
(a) allow time for the payment of the compensation;
(b) direct payment of the compensation to be made instalments:
(c) direct that such person be searched and that any money found on him when so searched or which, in the event of his being committed to prison, may be found on him when taken to prison shall be applied towards the payment of the compesation and the surplus, if any, be returned to him:
Provided that such money shall not be so applied if the Court is satisfied that the money does not belong to that person.
