Section 17. Iqrar defined.
(1) An Iqrar is a statement, made by a person orally, in writting or by gesture, that he is under some obligation to another person in respect of some right, and which is made and under the any circumstances hereinafter mentioned.
(2) An iqrar made outside Court admissible made before two witnesses who are adil witnesses.
(3) An iqrar by an agent to a party in the proceedings made before a Syariah Judge shall be is admissible.
(4) An iqrar concerning zina is only admissible if made before the Court.
