Section 74. Majlis to be trustees.

(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any written instrument, the Majlis shall be the sole trustee of all mosques in the State, and all mosques, together with the land on which such mosques stand and any other property appurtenant to and used for the purposes of the said mosques, shall on the commencement of this Enactment vest in the Majlis.

This sub-section shall not apply to State land or to land reserved for a public purpose.

(2) Any land which pursuant to sub-section (1) is or becomes vested in the Majlis shall be registered in the name of the Majlis.
