Section 169. Procedure as to offences committed in Court.

If any such offence as is described in sections 207, 208, 209, 210, 211 and 212 is committed in the presence of any Court, the Court may cause the offender to be detained in custody and at any time before the rising of the Court on the same day may, if it thinks fit, ntake cognisance of the offence and sentence the offender to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
