Section 170. Insulting the religion.

Whoever by words spoken or written or by visible representations insults or brings into contempt or attempts to insult or to bring into contempt the Religion of Islam or the teachings of any of the four mazhab or the teaching of any religious teacher with a Tauliah or any fatwa issued in accordance with this Enactment shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
