Section 39. Enticing a female person.

Any person who entices or induces or persuades any female person to run away from the custody of her parents or guardian shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both, and the Court may make such order as it deems appropriate in respect of the female person.
