PART III - JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURT
Section 7. Constitution of the Courts and their jurisdiction.
(1) The Ruler may by notification in the Gazette constitute -
(a) the Appeal Committee;
(b) the Court of the Chief Syarie Judge; and
(c) the Court of the Syariah High Court Judge; and
at such places deemed necessary and may prescribe the local limits of jurisdiction of such courts.
(2) The Appeal Committee shall have jurisdiction throughout the State.
(3) The Court of the Chief Syarie Judge shall have jurisdiction throughout the State and shall be presided over by the Chief Syarie Judge.
(4) The Court of the Syariah High Court Judge shall have jurisdiction throughout the State or at such places or areas as may be provided under sub-section (1) and shall be presided over by a Syariah High Court Judge.
