PART III - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND ITS INSTITUTION
Section 16. Failure to perform Friday prayers.
Any male person, being mukallaf, who fails to perform the Friday prayers in a mosque within his mukim masjid for three consecutive weeks without uzur syarie or without any reasonable cause shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
