Section 209. Refusing oath when duly required to take oath by a religious officer.

Whoever refuses to bind himself by an oath to state the truth, when required so to bind himself, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to both.
