PART IX - PENALTIES
Section 131. Failure of husband to render his marital obligation.
(1) Failure on the part of the husband to fulfil his conjugal obligation to any wife for such a period as may induce the wife to commit immorality shall be deemed as failure to render his conjugal obligation and shall constitute an offence if complained is made by the wife to the Court.
(2) A wife who lodges a complaint about an offence committed by the husband under subsection (1), may apply to the Court for any order as allowed by Hukum Syarak.
(3) Whoever commits an offence under subsection (1) shall be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding six months or with both such fine and imprisonment.
