PART III - THE FATWA COMMITTEE


Section 20. Quorum

(1) The Chairman and five other members of the Fatwa Committee shall constitute a quorum.

(2) No business, save that of adjournment, shall be transacted at a meeting, and no resolution or action of the Fatwa Committee made or performed at a meeting shall be valid, unless at least one-third of the members, including the person presiding over the meeting, are present at the meeting.

(3) Subject to this Enactment, the Fatwa Committee may make its own rules and make any procedures therein.

(4) The Fatwa Committee members shall be deemed as civil servants according to Penal Code [Act 574].
