PART III - JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURT

Section 8. Constitution of the Courts and their jurisdiction.

(1) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by notification in the Gazette constitute:

(a)

the Syariah Court of Appeal;

(b)

the Court of Kadi Besar; and

(c)

so many Courts of District Kadi,

at such places deemed necessary and may prescribe the local limits of jurisdiction of such courts.

(2) The Syariah Court of Appeal shall have jurisdiction throughout the State.

(3) The Kadi Besar shall have jurisdiction throughout the State and shall be presided over by the Kadi Besar.Court of the
