Section 154. Disobedience of wife.

Any woman who shall wilfully disobey any order lawfully given by her husband in accordance with the Law of the Religion of Islam shall be punishable with a fine not exceeding ten dollars, or, in the case for a term not exceeding seven days or with fine not exceeding fifty dollars:

Provided that it shall be a sufficient defence to any prosecution under this section that the husband has been guilty on more than one occasion during the preceding year of abusing or ill-treating the accused.
