Section 136. Misuse of holy texts.

Any person who uses, derides, copies, criticises of mocks by word or deed or insults any sacred verse of the Quran or Hadith or any saying considered sacred by Muslims, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding four thousand ringgit or· to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
