Section 91. Disobedience of wife.

Any woman who shall wilfully disobey any order lawfully given by her husband in accordance with Hukum Shara' shall be guilty of an offence punishable with a fine not exceeding $25, or in the case of a second or subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or with fine not exceeding $100.

Provided that it shall be sufficient defence to any prosecution under this section that the husband has been guilty on more than one occasion during the preceding year of abusing or ill-treating the accused.
