PART III - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND ITS INSTITUTION

Section 21. Prostitution.

(1) Any woman who prostitutes herself shall be guilty of a offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to whipping not for a term not exceeding three years or to whipping not exceeding six strokes or to any combination thereof.

(2) Any person who -

(a) prostitutes his wife or a female child under this care; or

(b) causes or allows his wife or a female child under his care to prostitute herself.

shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to whipping not exceeding six strokes or to any combination thereof.
