Section 143. Injustice towards wife.

Any person having more than one wife, is found to act unjustly towards any of his wives in matters pertaining to maintenance, clothing, accommodation and his attention for them by rotation under Hukum Syara’

shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month.
