ADMISSION (IQRAR)



Section 17. Definition of admission (iqrar).

(1) An admission (iqrar) is a statement, oral, documentary or using gesture, made by a person that he is under some obligation to another person in respect of some right, and which is made by any persons and under any circumstances hereinafter mentioned.

(2) An admission (iqrar) made outside a Court may only be accepted if it is made before two fair (adil) witnesses.

(3) An admission (iqrar) by an agent to a party in the proceeding made before a Kadi shall be accepted.

(4) An admission in regard to zina is acceptable if it is made before a Kadi.
