PART VII - OFFENCES



Section 119. False doctrine.

(1) Any person who professes, teaches, expounds or distributes to other persons any teaching or opinion or performs any ceremony or act which is contrary to Hukum Syarak or fatwa issued under section 36 but such act does not amount to riddah shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and shall also be punished with whipping.

(2) The Court shall, whether prosecution is instituted or not against any person, order that any written material relating to any offence under subsection (1) be forfeited to be destroyed or disposed off in any other manner.

(3) The Court may, whether prosecution is instituted or not against any person, order that any building or place used in the commission of any offence under subsection (1) be demolished or be subject to any other appropriate order.
