Section 8. Appointment of Syariah Lower Court Judges.

(1) The Yang di-Pertua Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Chief Syarie Judge, appoint, from members of the service of the State Syariah Officers, Judges of the Syariah Lower Court.

(2) All appointments under subsection (1) shall be notified in the Gazette.
