PART II - SYARIAH COURTS Constitution and jurisdiction.
Section 15. Certification of inheritance.
If in the course of any proceedings relating to the administration or distribution of the estate of the deceased Muslim, any Court or authority, other than the Syariah High Court or a Syariah Subordinate Court, is under a duty to determine –
(a) the persons entitled to share in the estate; or
(b) the shares to which such persons are respectively entitled,
the Syariah Court may, on the application by such court or the authority or any person who claims to be a beneficiary or his representative, and on payment of the prescribed fee, certify the facts found by it and its opinion as to the persons who are entitled and as to the shares.
