Section 158. Wilful neglect of statutory duty.

Whoever has been appointed as Amil or whoever being charged by this Enactment with the duty of registering any matter or proceeding or of making preparing, keeping or maintaining assessment list, book of account, estimates of expenditure, counterfoil book, minute book, subscription list or of issuing any certificate, receipt or certified copy, refuses or willfully neglects or fails to perform such duty, or willfully performs the same in an unlawful or improper manner shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to, imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
