Section 171. Alternative procedure.
If the Court, in any case, considers that a person accused of any of the offences referred to in section 169 and committed in its view or presence, may be better dealt with by ordinary process of law, such Court, after recording the facts constituting the offence and the statement of the accused, may direct the accused to be prosecuted, and may require security to be given for the appearance of such accused person before a Judge or if sufficient security is not given, may forward such person to another Judge for trial.
