PART IV - OFFENCES Of Offences Relating To Insulting Religion And Its Institution
Section 50. Insulting, put into contempt, etc. of Islamic Religion.
Any person who by words, either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representation, or by any act, activity or conduct, or otherwise in any other manner-
(i) insult, or deemed as putting into contempt or attempt to insult or putting into contempt the Religion of Islam; or
(ii) derogate, ape or derides the practices or ceremonies relating to the Religion of Islam; or
(iii) the conduct of any of the recognised (muktabar) mazhab; or
(iv) any fatwa legally issued by the Mufti under the Administration of the Islamic Law (Negeri Sembilan) Enactment 1991 [En. 1/1991],
shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.
