Section 79. Custody and return of registers and record.

(1) Every Registrar shall keep safely each register committed to his charge and, if he shall leave the locality for which he is Registrar or cease to hold office as Registrar, shall make over the same with all records kept by him to the Kadhi of the area concerned.

(2) On the death of a Registrar, his register and record shall forthwith be given to the Kadhi of the area cencerned.

(3) As soon as any register has been completely filled the Registrar shall deliver the same to the Kadhi of the area concerned to be kept by him in safe custody.
