Section 22. Religious publication contrary to Hukum Syara’.

Any person who prints, publishes, produces, records, distributes or in any other manner disseminates or who has in his possession any book, pamphlet, document or any form of recordings which gives or is intended to give instructions or opinion concerning any matter of Hukum Syara', if such book, pamphlet, document or recording contains anything contrary to Hukum Syara', is guilty of an offence and shall on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both, and all such books, pamphlets, documents, recordings or equipments for printing, publishing, recording or disseminating such matters shall be confiscated and destroyed as directed by the Court.
