Section 8. Authority of Mufti

(1) The Mufti shall have authority to issue any fatwa.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of this Enactment the Mufti may, if he considers it necessary, discuss with the Fatwa Committee before issuing any fatwa under this section.
