PART III - PROPERTY AND FINANCE OF MAJLIS
General Administration Fund and Zakat and Fitrah Fund

Section 68. General Administration Fund and Zakat and Fitrah Fund.

(1) There is hereby established, for the purposes of this Enactment-

(a)

the General Administration Fund; and

(b)

the Zakat and Fitrah Fund.

(2) Save as otherwise provided in this Enactment, all the monies and property, movable and immovable', including the fund of the Baitulmal which are vested in the Majlis from time to time for the purpose of this Enactment, shall form and be included in the General Administration Fund in trust for charitable purposes, for the support and promotion of the Religion of Islam in the State in accordance with the Hukum Syarak, as to the Majlis may seem proper.

(3) All monies or value of money collected from zakat and fitrah shall be paid into the Zakat and Fitrah Fund and shall not be issued except on the group which is entitled to the zakat and fitrah as prescribed according to Hukum Syarak.
