Section 84. Closure and demolition of mosque.

The Majlis may, with the approval of His Royal Highness the Sultan for reasonable reasons, close and demolish any mosque building and may, where any mosque has been demolished and it is not intended to build any other mosque on the same site and it is no longer suitable to be used for other religious purposes in accordance with the Hukum Syarak, sell, lease, charge or use such site in any manner in accordance with Hukum Syarak and the income therefrom shall be used for the erection, maintenance or repair of mosques and for no other purposes.
