PART VI - OFFENCES
Section 64. Improper retention of fund.
Whoever, being an Imam and having received as such any habuan or other monies which under the provisions of this Enactment are divisible among the pegawai masjid of his mukim, improperly retains the same or fails to account therefor to such pegawai masjid shall be guilty of an offence punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or with fine not exceeding $250, and the Court may make summary order for payment to the persons entitle thereto of any sums the subject-matter of the offence:
Provided that no prosecution shall be brought under this section later than eighteen months after the alleged commission of the offence.
