ENACTMENT 1988



Section 13. Power to require attendance of witnesses.

(1) An authorised officer making a investigation under Section 12 may by order in writing require the attendance before himself of any person who appears to the officer to be acquainted with the circumstances of the case, and such person shall attend as so required.

(2) If any person subject to an order under subsection (1) fails to attend as required by the order, the authorised officer may report the failure to a Magistrate who may thereupon issue a warrant to secure the attendance of the person as required by the order.

(3) A person attending as required under subsection (1) shall be entitled to be paid the reasonable travelling and subsistence expenses incurred by him.
