PART VII - CONVERSION TO THE RELIGION OF ISLAM

Section 76. Recognition of muallafs as Muslims

(1) A person who has converted to the religion of Islam and has been registered in the Register of Muallafs shall, for the purposes of any Federal or State law, and for all time, be treated as a Muslim.

(2) A person whose conversion to the religion of Islam has been registered under any Federal or State law in Malaysia shall, for the purposes in the State of Kedah Darul Aman and for the purposes of inplementing the provisions of any law in the State of Kedah Darul Aman, be treated as a Muslim.
