Section 117. Teaching without authority.

Any person who teaches or expounds any matter connected with the Religion of Islam without the written authority of the Majlis, except to the members of his family in his house, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
