Section 47. Power to require attendance of a person.

(1) The President may, by order in writing, require the attendance before him of any person who has with him anything that is the right of the Baitulmal whom he believes can give any information regarding the right of the Baitulmal and may request such person to produce any document or instrument that is in his custody in order to get evidence regarding the right of the Baitulmal from any estate of a Muslim who had died.

(2) If any person fails to attend as requested by order under subsection (1), the President may report the failure to a Qadhi and the Qadhi shall thereupon issue a warrant to secure the attendance of such person as required under the said order.
