PART XI - GENERAL PROVISION

Section 59. Applicability of this Enactment.

(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Enactment shall apply to every Muslim who is a mukallaf in respect of any offence committed by him in the State of Terengganu.

(2) Nothing in this Enactment shall preclude a non-Muslim from electing that this Enactment apply to him in respect of any offence committed by him within the State of Terengganu and in the event of such non-Muslim acting as aforesaid, the provisions of this Enactment shall, mutatis mutandis, apply to him as they apply to Muslim.
