PART III - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND ITS INSTITUTION
Section 12. Contempt of religious authorities.
Any person who acts in contempt of the lawful authority, or defies, disobeys or disputes the lawful orders or directions, of-
(a)His Royal Highness the Sultan in His capacity as the Head of the religion of Islam;
(b)the Majlis;
(c) the Mufti, expressed or given by way of a fatwa,
shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
