PART III - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND ITS INSTITUTION

Section 14. Teaching without tauliah.

(1) Any person who teaches or professes to teach any matter relating to the religion of Islam without a tauliah granted under subsection 79(3) of the Administration Enactment shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.

(2) Subsection (1) shall not apply to a person who teaches or professes to teach any matter relating to the religion of Islam in his own residence in the presence of members of his own household only.
