PART VIII - PLEADINGS

Section 65. Form of defence.

(1) Every defence shall be signed by the defendant or his Peguam Syarie and shall—

(a)

either admit or deny every material allegation of the fact in the statement of claim;

(b)

state concisely any new facts on which the defendant relies by way of defence; and

(c)

raise concisely and without argument any necessary matters of law.

(2) A denial under paragraph (1) (a) shall not be evasive but shall answer the point of substance.
