CHAPTER 2 - WITNESSES

Section 88. Evidence by a single witness and oath by plaintiff.

Where in a civil suit, there is only one witness produced by the plaintiff, the evidence of such witness shall only be admissible if his evidence is given together with the oath of the plaintiff.

ILLUSTRATION

In a claim for the repayment of a debt by the plaintiff against the defendant, the evidence of a witness produced by the plaintiff given together with the oath of the plaintiff shall constitute sufficient proof of his claim.
