Section 89. When witness need to be examined

Whenever a witness has given evidence, the Hakim Syariah shall examine him to determine the truth of his evidence.

Explanation- If the Hakim Syariah says that the witness is truthful or that the wirness is adilbut the witness had committed an error in his evidence or that the witness is adilbut the witness denies the claim, a decision cannot be given by the Hakim Syariah, unless he had earlier ascertained that the witness is or is not adilby examining him in open Court or secretly.
