Section 167. Powers on revision.
(1) The Syariah Appeal Court or the Syariah High Court, as the case may be in any case where the record of the proceedings has been called for by it, or referred to it or which otherwise comes to its knowledge, exercise any of the powers conferred by sections 138, 142, 143 and 144 of this Code.
(2) No order under this section shall be made to the prejudice of the accused unless he has had an opportunity of being heard, either personally or by peguam syarie in his own defence.
(3) Nothing in this section shall be deemd to authorise the Syariah Appeal Court or the Syariah High Court to convert an acquittal into a conviction.
