(1) The President, with the sanction of His Royal Highness the Sultan, shall have power to set aside for remuneration a certain sum out of any proceeds arising from a wakaf which is not confined solely to the welfare of the Religion of Islam and Muslims in general and which for the time being is under the control of the Majlis.

(2) The sum to be set aside shall not exceed ten per centum of the annual proceeds and shall be credited to the Fund.
